AIRWAVE COMPLETE 2000
The Airwave 2000 set mixes high-performance pre-preg carbon with precision milled anodized aluminium. The wings, mast and fuselage designs have evolved over several iterations, combining stability, durability, price and performance.
Perfect in small to medium-sized waves, the Airwave set will accommodate heavier riders as well as make a great platform for wing foiling. Designed for surf, SUP and wing foiling the NSP Airwave can be tuned additionally with the three included shims.
DETAILS
Smooth elliptical curves give you the drive to surf and commit to effortless rail-to-rail transitions. Stability comes in buckets at all speeds, and glide characteristics are great. Foiling is all about feedback and this foil package gives you the feedback required to execute committed turns and extend your glide. A 1700 cm2 front wing in combination with the 330 cm2 back wing leverages your pumping action while creating appropriate lift and stability.
Precision manufacturing means 100% alignment of the wings and heavy-duty construction. The NSP Airwave is ideal for both entry-level and advanced foilers. Downwind specialists tell us this is one of the faster foils on the market right now, allowing riders to almost ride around other foilers on the same trip.
Surf, SUP or kite
Suitable for different kinds of foiling, your Airwave can be tuned with a wide range of aftermarket options to customize your unique foiling style. Different size masts, wings and back wings are all available; talk to your dealer!
SPECS
MOUNTING PLATE
Designed to spread the load, the anodized aluminum base features screw slots instead of holes, allowing for additional fine tuning.
MAST
With a width of 135mm (5.31”), these masts are 22.5% wider than most others on the market. The wider cord allows for a more efficient foil profile, more directional stability and a higher rigidity 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum, the Airwave masts feature 3 full-length channels for increased stiffness. Airwave masts are anodized for protection and a great look, and sealed with silicone plugs to keep them watertight.

FUSELAGE
Airwave fuselages are designed without compromise. Our design brief was clear “must be hydro-dynamically efficient, has to be strong, stiff, cannot bend, with solid mast and wing connections and it must hold up to wipe-outs in the shore break”. Each precision fuselage is individually CNC cut from aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum and are anodized for protection and a great look.

FRONT WINGS
FW 2000
The big daddy – the FW 2000 is the Cadillac of the allround front wings. Less accentuated curvature than the FW 1700 FW 1325 means a higher degree of lift and directional stability. Expect a smooth ride with sustained glide and exceptional bottom-end performance for riders taking the FW 2000 in the surf, a wake, or wing foiling. If it wasn’t already stable, the winglets increase directional stability even further.
You are not going to turn this foil on a dime, but its sustained glide and consistent lift, even at lower speeds are very rewarding when the conditions are small. Out of all allround front wings, the FW 2000 is the most stable and directional one. For wingfoilers, the FW 2000 foil is a must!
Key design characteristics:
- Diminished curvature, for sustained glide from one bump to the next
- Slight winglets help directional stability
- More slender profile for better control at high speeds
- Foil profile and AOA (angle of attack) offers great lift at lower speeds
BACK WING
RW 330 FLAT WING
The allrounder - flat with mild winglets, a fast and loose rear wing that works well with all NSP Front wings. This is our go to back wing. With plenty of positive rider feedback, it makes pumping a breeze.
TUNING SHIMS
AIRWAVE PRECISION TUNING
Most hydrofoils in the market are set to a single AOA (angle of attack) at the back wing, usually varying between one- and three degrees. The Airwave is different, as it comes with three precision tuning shims, allowing the rider to adjust the AOA of the back wing to customize the balance between lift, speed, stability and turning. For example, the 3° shim (black) allows for pumping with maximum efficiency, but is slower and at higher speeds, it generates too much lift, requiring continuous counteracting by applying front foot pressure. Switching to the 1° shim (silver) gives less lift, is harder to pump but offers maximum speed. The 2° shim (orange) is the most neutral of the three, it’s the base line we design all our foils to and is the best place to start as in regular surfing, each shim has its own feel and performance characteristics. Since a hydrofoil moves on three axis, instead of the two we recommend you experiment as your skills develop.
